Better than Business as Usual 1: Public Facilities – Transportation & Others

BAU: Construction of capital facilities isn’t expected to keep up with demand as the region grows. Result: more congestion, lower service levels.

Better: Change the way people and businesses ‘consume’ these services. Change the way the facilities are managed, financed and used. Maintain quality of life by changing the trends that have shaped past regional form and capital investment.

Presentation: Invest in facilities that give people more choice – and better price signals
Jungus Jordan, Council Member, City of Fort Worth & Member, Regional Transportation Council

Presentation: Using incentives to support capital facilities that create a desired future for the region
John Walsh, III, Principal, TIG Real Estate, Inc. and Chair, Urban Land Institute North Texas District Council

Presentation: Using regional collaboration to create facilities/services that are distinct in different communities
